Monoethanolamine (ETA or MEA), with the chemical formula C₂H₇NO, is an important organic chemical raw material. It appears as a colorless, viscous liquid with a mild ammonia-like odor. It is alkaline and hygroscopic, miscible with water, alcohol, etc. in any proportion.
